today i caught a glimpse of these pretty tulips
as i walked to the train station
and their brightness caught me for a moment
so i stopped
and smiled
and took this little picture
and even though i am facing some
real sadness
right at the surface
i am happy to see such things as this
springtime sweetness
the promise of something new
